Bonnie is a little bit farm girl, a little bit European, a little bit SoCal gal, and a whole lot of fun.

Bonnie’s writings, photography, and artful living are a reflection of her love for the simple country life, as well as her time spent living abroad. She and her husband, John, have spent the last eleven years transforming what once was a neglected acre of land into a beautiful and bountiful “gentleman’s farm”.

Bonnie has been featured in national garden magazines with her gardens, organic practices, chickens, and designs. Bonnie speaks to garden-related organizations and businesses on popular subjects such as espaliered fruit trees, backyard chickens, backyard composting, vintage container design, and garden economizing. In addition, she and her husband, John, have won several ribbons for their home-made wines at the San Diego and Orange County Fairs.

A professed self-taught gardener, Bonnie has a B.S. Degree from the College of Agriculture at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado. In addition, she has earned an International Business Certificate, and Wine Technology Certificate from Mira Costa College, Oceanside, California. Bonnie has been an active gardener and participating member of several local garden clubs for over fifteen years.
