Thank you so much, Bonnie and John, for commissioning me to paint this painting. And thank you so much, Bonnie, for writing this lovely story and taking such a good photo of the happy moment of delivering the painting. The beauty and magical atmosphere—"the spirit of place" of your vineyard, garden, home, and over-arching trees made the entire experience of creating this painting a joyful one, even at times ecstatic. I was happy every moment when I was working on this painting. It was like a dream and a gift to have the chance to paint it.

Love the painting! It captures the joyful, energetic mood of the occasion with the action filled pleasing bright color pallet. I am reminded of of the paintings of French artist Guy Buffet whom I really like. The picture makes me feel warm and happy ...and I am happy for you Bonnie and John. Kudos to Pat Welsh!
